Dutch Crocus Flower Record
Rich, solid royal purple. Long, slender flowers. Popular. Crocus Vernus have large blooms in the early spring. A cool position with full sun through to dappled light (woodland type garden) are ideal.
Growing Tips
Crocus prefer a full sun or partly shaded position. Prepare your soil to a depth of 20cm, ensuring the soil is light and fluffy. Plant bulbs approximately 5cm apart and 2cm deep.
Crocus will also thrive in a woodland type environment, with the full winter and spring sun and then shelter from the hot summer's sun. Easy to grow and often quick to multiply, crocus form nice clumps and provide good winter colour.
Feed your crocus with a good all round bulb fertiliser at the time of planting.
A reminder we do not dispatch our bulbs until closer to planting time. We begin sending our bulbs out in the 3rd week of February but recommend you do not start to plant until the end of March at the earliest.
