Glamini Gladioli are the new kids on the block! Having the same brilliant vigour and ease of growth as the 'Garden Gladioli' these treasures have been bred to stay shorter in height around 50cm. Coming in a vivid array of vibrant colours, they are a must have for the space conscious and pot plant gardener! On average, with slight variety differences, Gladioli will flower at roughly 100 days after planting.
Gladioli love the warmth, but with that being said they are remarkably drought hardy, requiring little summer watering. They do require a full sun to part shade position to ensure they do not become leggy.
Average height to 1.5m, gladioli are strong, and only rarely require staking. Gladioli are a highly sought after cut flower, and make for an exceptional addition to any picking garden.
Prepare a hole to a depth of 20cm making the spoil nice. light and friable. Plant the bulbs with the base downwards at a depth of 5cm. Gladioli can be held out of the ground to stagger their flowering through out the summer period, with the last planting done at Red Earth usually at the end of January for Mid Autumn Colour.
Happy Gardening!
