Garlic AUSTRALIAN RED
Nice garlic aroma, strong heat and flavour with pleasant taste. Distinctive large white bulbs. 10 to 14 large cloves, typically in a single layer, which sit out from central scape when mature. Matures quickly once bulb has occurred. During early bulb swell, don’t let plants suffer water shortage. Protect from extreme heat (35 C+).

Upon receiving your garlic, it is best to break up the bulb into its individual cloves, allowing you to plant each one, in turn each clove should yield you a new full bulb of cloves after the growing season.
· Plant cloves 150mm apart with pointy tip upwards.
· Clove tops about 25mm below surface.
· Do not feed heavily. After 6 weeks, apply light spray of a liquid fertiliser monthly.
· Moist not wet soil.
· Store in ventilated place away from direct sunlight.
Prepare your soil to a depth of 20cm, making sure it is light and friable. Some well aged compost and manure can be added at this time.
Push the cloves into the prepared soil, with the pointed end facing up, covering by 3cm of soil.
Harvest when the foliage has yellowed.
