Very striking bright lemon yellow double blooms.
Japanese Water Iris, are a beautiful class of Iris thriving in a damp environment. They are full sun lovers, but will handle part shade. The brilliant, large blooms are born on up to 1.5m stems.

Japanese Water Iris will perform well along the edge of ponds, along streams and where tank water flowers spill over. Late spring blooming. Water Iris make an absolutely striking, eye catching display for all to see!
Select a position that is in the full sun or part shade. using a fork, prepare the bed to a depth of 20cm, making sure the soil is loose and friable. The rhizome should be planted at a depth of 10cm, with a light top of dressing of cow or sheep manure allowing the plant to thrive as it comes into its fresh growth.
It is not essential to harvest the iris, but clumps may be divided over the winter months and spread around the garden, or better still shared with friends!
