HEIGHT: 120cm WIDTH: 60cm
Grow Dahlias in full sun to part shade in a well drained soil, rich in organic matter. They are ideal for pots or planted into the garden. If planting in the garden, plant them at least 60cm apart. Dahlias flower from summer to autumn and make an exceptional cut flower. They are suitable to grow in a cool to sub-tropical climate. Once established Dahlias are quite hardy, although if in pots, don’t let them dry out. An application of sea weed solution when planted will help with their root growth, otherwise we use our own Drewitt's fertiliser a couple of times during their growing and flowering period to enhance the flowering. Fertilising at this time will also feed the tuber for flowers and foliage next year.
The potted lines of Dahlia on offer are guaranteed to be true to variety. ALL products have passed a rigorous virus testing program prior to production.
Stock is limited on all varieties, and products are offered on a first in, first served basis.
These are established plants in 10cm pots. They have a substantial root system. Each pot will be wrapped prior to dispatch to ensure safe transit. We ONLY offer our potted Dahlias as an EXPRESS POST or PICK UP option. If selecting PICK UP, please await a phone call to advise your order is ready for collection. Red Earth Bulbs will provide tracking numbers for ALL orders dispatched, but can not be held responsible for any fault of Australia Post in relation to poor delivery times impacting on plant health, parcels going missing or lost in the postal system, as this is completely outside of our control.
Please unpack and water your plants immediately upon arrival. As they will have been boxed for a couple of days, they will need to be placed in the shade to regain the chlorophyll in their foliage and prevent the leaves burning. Expected lead time from placement of order to dispatch is 7 days.
